Mission & Beliefs
“We prepare ourselves for service through worship, prayer, fellowship, religious education, support of each other’s growth, and the celebration of sacraments.
We discern the needs of the community through our presence and involvement; our covenant with and participation in the broader UCC movement and the Church Universal; and insight gathered through careful, prayerful listening to both community voices and that still, small voice of God within.
We serve through a variety of ministries, including worship, outreach, mission work, visitation, religious education, music, and financial and logistical support of groups that share our purpose.
In all of this, we attend to the Holy Spirit moving within ourselves and our congregation, so that the work we do may glorify God and point us toward righteousness, justice and peace.”

Our Congregation
We are a church, and a church is made of people.
Come and see what a difference Beloved Community can bring
Beloved Community is a term coined by the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. to express a just and inclusive worldview. Here, it means a space where we can all exist together and support each other as one Christian body. We don’t have to agree on everything, but we do agree that we are all part of the family of God, each with their own inherent worth and dignity, and we all have something necessary and important to bring to the table.
Our welcome is broadly inclusive. Our communion is open to all. Our interactions with each other are governed by love. Come and see what a difference Beloved Community can bring.
The Miracle of Faith
“I have lived in Iowa, Wisconsin, New York and Indiana. No matter where I have lived, Ripley has always been my Church. Coming home to Ripley for service has always warmed my heart. Technology has now allowed me to "come home" to Ripley on a regular basis. Being a part of Ripley's future has brought me closer to my faith and to those that make up the Ripley Family. In my 54 years as a member, I am able to personally be involved in all the ways Ripley is reaching out to our community and to those in need. It is wonderful to be "home" at Ripley, whether in town or in another state.”
