On the 2nd Saturday they gather to “Soul Stitch”. Both groups get their day started at 9am by\nentering through the North door to the Fellowship Hall in the Church Basement.\nSetting up sewing machines for quilt tops that need to be stitched\, cutting pieces for colorful designs\, laying out quilt tops to\nmatch to battings and backs. Sorting quilts by size to go to Cedar Valley Hospice\, Black Hawk Veterans\, AFIL\, Mercy One\, Salvation Army\, Iowa Veterans Home in Marshalltown\, The Stork’s Nest\, and Sleep in Heavenly Peace…..just to name a few of the\nrecipients of their work!\nNot only do they stitch fabric pieces\, but they stitch meaning through fellowship. We invite all to pop in\, and see what they\nare up to. Grab a needle\, pull a stitch and bring joy to those who are covered in the warmth of a quilt loving constructed by\nthe Ripley Stitchers.\nQuestions? DESCRIPTION:During service today we will be Blessing the Quilts.  Our quilts are stitched together with a mission of serving others in need.   Ripley Stitchers come together in purpose and fellowship as they take small pieces of fabric and stitch them into lovely quilts.   The quilts are then provided to such areas as Americans for Independent Living\, Cedar Valley Hospice\, Salvation Army\, Black Hawk Veterans\, Sunrise Hill Care Center\, Mercy One\, Sleep in Heavenly Peace to name a few. \n  \nIf you know of someone in need of warmth for body and soul\, please reach out to Jane Knoop at 319-478-8156.
